Angie Diaz is a Filipina Australian multidisciplinary artist whose practice integrates dance, theatre, and screen performance. Born in the small town of Quirindi, NSW on  Gamilaroi Country, before moving to Darwin at the age of three. Raised on Larrakia Country in Australia's Northern Territory, Angie's artistic vision has been profoundly shaped by her mixed cultural upbringing in the vibrant cultural melting pot of the tropical north.

Angie Diaz is an honours graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) Bachelor of Arts in Dance program and founding member of LINK Dance Company. During these formative years Angie performed with Response, Jo Pollit’s Improvisation Ensemble, this opportunity played an important role in opening Angie’s eyes to the kinetic freedom of spontaneous performance stretching the bounds of theatrical form.

Angie is a versatile performer, her performance credits include collaborations with a diverse range of Australian companies:  Zeal Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, Monkey Baa Theatre, Legs On The Wall, Poetry in Action and Catapult Dance. Her diverse practice has informed her development as a movement director and choreographer fostering creative opportunities with many of the companies she has performed with, including, Ensemble Theatre, The One, Monkey Baa Theatre, Yong , Catapult Dance ,The Flipside project and Hysteria , Whale Chorus, (Meet me at the Baths) and most recently , with Legs On The Wall, developing new work tabi tabi po .

Angie is also known for her work on Screen, most affectionately as the Pink Power Ranger in Power Rangers Mystic Force, a role still celebrated through a global fan base. Angie has also appeared in Heartbreak High (2022), Nine Perfect Strangers (2022), The Unlisted (2019), Reckoning (2017), Underbelly Badness (2012) and has featured in films, Peter Rabbit 2 (2021) Knowing (2009) and The View From Greenhaven (2007).

A passionate teaching artist, Angie is currently the Creative Practice Lead at NAISDA, the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Association. Through this role, Angie channels her passion for mentorship and cultural exchange into developing innovative multidisciplinary platforms for the continuation of story. Her work focuses on nurturing and supporting the next generation of First Nations storytellers, ensuring that Indigenous voices have the creative tools and platforms necessary to share their stories with authenticity and power.
